Cheeseball BATS!

Fun, scary, black and cheesy!  I made these cute little bats for a halloween party.  They are made out of my favorite cheeseball recipe given to me by my brother, rolled into golfball size, coated in poppy seeds and accessorized with blue corn tortilla chips and black olive slices!  I got the design idea from this blog copingwithfrugality.com, but used my own cheese ball recipe.

Cheeseball recipe:

2 - 8 oz packages of cream cheese, softened
8 oz Chedder cheese, shredded
1/4 tsp Garlic salt
1/2 tsp Garlic powder
2 tsp Mayonnaise
1/4 Green Pepper chopped fine
1/4 Red pepper chopped fine
2 green onions, white and green parts included, chopped fine

Cream together cream cheese, garlic salt, garlic powder, and mayonnaise until combined and smooth.  Stir in peppers and onion.  Stir in chedder cheese.  Form into small balls, roll in poppy seeds.  Place olive slices on top for eyes.  Place in refrigerator to firm up.  Insert corn chip wings just before serving.  Enjoy!

Whimsical Polka Dot Cake

This cake was so fun to do.  It is just a small 6" cake, so cute and little!  The cake is a mint chocolate chip cake with dark chocolate buttercream filling, so yummy.  This cake was a reward for my boys for saying their prayers.  About a year ago we started putting beans in a jar every night before bed for how many prayers they said during the day.  When the jar was full we would have a cake and ice cream party to celebrate.  They've been looking forward to it for a whole year and finally the jar is full.
I'm so proud of them!

Ivory Pearl Wedding Cake

4 Tiers!! This is my biggest cake ever!  What an adventure.  The bride said she loves pearls and was very specific about the design of the cake.  It was a crazy amount of work, those pearls pretty much had to be placed ONE AT A TIME!  I could dump a small handful on here and there on the flat surfaces but ultimately most of the pearls needed individual attention.
I brushed on a coating of pearl dust all over the cake which gave the whole thing a subtle shimmer, really pretty, but alas you can't tell from the photographs.  It was much prettier in person but you get the gist right?  Hope you like!
